Previous Radio Projects
RAG Wave :: 1999 and 2000
Seanie's first taste of professional radio broadcasting was with RAG Wave in NUI Maynooth. It was a temp station set up for only a few weeks either side of the university's RAG Week event. He did this for 2 consecutive terms in 1999 and 2000.
CKR FM :: 2001-2004
His first stint inside a 'big radio station' was with CKR FM on Whacky Saturday as a co-presenter for over two and a half years until the station ceased in 2004. Technically Seanie was not on the station's roster but he took the opportunity as his colleague, Vincent O'Sullivan headed the show, so Seanie was allowed to be his co-presenter. For almost 2 and a half years Seanie would visit the Naas studio with Vincent every Saturday morning without fail and broadcast live across the region.
Ice Radio Online :: 2005
In 2005, Ice Radio developed as an online streaming radio station with presenters taking part from Ireland, England and Scotland. Seanie presented Afternoon Energy for two hours 4 days a week for 9 months before being forced to quit due to other work committments.
Midlands 103 :: 2007 - Present
In October 2007 Midlands 103 ran a "Radio Idol" promotion where the winner got to present their own show for a month. Seanie took part by recording himself 'live' in Midlands 103's News & Traffic studio. It paid off and he was declared the winner. After his month's stint during November, he was duly made permanent. The night time slot quickly gained a loyal following of listeners with Last Orders now the most listened-to show in the region for its scheduled slot.
